Rich in Japan

Hi, I'm Richard and I am actually rich in Japan. As a foreigner who moved to Japan, I write my anedotal experience with finances, real estate, childcare, and bureacracy in Japan.

Rich in Japan blog is literally about that - being a high income individual (or family) in Japan, while being foreign. The reason I started this journal of mine is because as a foreigner with high income, I kept finding myself in edge case (ie Rare and uncommon) scenarios in Japan. This is in many ways - from taxation (foreign income, foreign real estate, foreign corp), to handling citizenship for my children, and also handling large cross-border transactions.

I spent a lot of time on r/japanfinance on Reddit, but sometimes couldn't find what related to specific cases on mine, or the advice given was not actually pertinent to practical steps in how bureacracy works. All financial/immigration advices here are anecdotal, and I am not being paid for it!
